This paper shows the design and development of a single-phase full H-bridge voltage inverter. The main goal of the development is to obtain a component necessary for the control and use of the energy generated from a photovoltaic array. The developed inverter is made up of power MOSFETs, enabling it to operate at higher switching frequencies than an IGBT inverter. International and Mexican electronic design standards were considered during its design. Furthermore, the design considers the technical hardware specifications for a control strategy based on sine wave PWM modulation. Selection criteria for all the components used in the design are explained including the gate drive design requirements. An electronic design software was used during PCB design to create the schematic diagram and circuit board routing. Finally, the assembled hardware prototype and some experimental test results are shown.
